New Year's Resolutions...

I've never been good at keeping my New Year's resolutions; actually, I don't think I've ever made any! I think if I have them written down or posted on my blog, then I will be better at keeping them. I had a hard time thinking of what I could do. But, after some thought, I decided to do a couple of little goals every few months. So, here's my list!

*Make and stick to a schedule. Brady's schedule is pretty much set. We do the same things everyday. We're still working on getting Jackson going. It's better now that he's sleeping through the night. We just need to figure out his naps. If anyone has any tips, I'm all ears! My schedule comes last on the priority list. I make sure the boys are taken care of first and sometimes I don't get ready for the day until the end of the day! I use their nap times to pick up the house and do laundry. I guess I just need to get up before the kids do to get into my "groove" even though I love to sleep until they wake me up.

*Make and stick to a cleaning chart. I normally keep the house picked up every day during the week and save the real cleaning for Saturdays. I hate doing this because we would all rather be doing fun things with our weekend instead of cleaning. And I hate doing all the laundry on one day. I think if I break it up and do a load of laundry a day and focus on doing a good cleaning in a few rooms throughout the week, then we could have Saturdays for "fun days". And of course, still keeping the house picked up as needed (i.e. dishes, vacuuming, pick up toys...) daily.

*Get and stay organized. It's not as bad as it sounds. I know where everything is, it's just a matter of putting it and keeping it where it belongs. I guess it's kind of a messy organized, if that makes sense. My closets, pantry, shelves, and cupboards could all be a little neater. It seems that when we (and by "we" I mean Steve...Just kidding, Love. You know I'm teasing!) put something away, we just put it in the quickest and most convenient spot instead of right back where it was.

*Get healthy/in shape. This is going to be the hardest one of all. My main motivation is that I want to get out of my maternity clothes. Yes, I know...I'm still in maternity clothes. That's kind of embarrassing to admit. We have a treadmill that I would love to use, but by the time the boys are in bed and the house is picked up, I just feel so tired! I know that eating better will go a long way in helping me accomplish this goal. And once it warms up outside, I can take the boys for walks and to the park to play.

Some other goals I want to work on are attending church every week (unless someone is sick), even if we are out of town; sticking to our budget; getting back into family home evening; and doing more educational things with the kids.

I hope that I can keep my resolutions this year!

I hate New Year's resolutions... I have yet to accomplish one! So I made my last New Year's resolution last year to never make one again, and it is the first time I have stuck to it! I feel so accomplished
