My True Blue Jazz Fan

True Blue Jazz winner

Steve and I really like watching the Jazz games. This year, he decided to text in to try and win the True Blue Jazz Fan competition where he gets to do a "job" at the game. Well, he won and I got to go too! He wanted to operate the Superscreen and was able to during the first half. The funny part is, I bought tickets for tonight's game anyway for his birthday. We ended up selling those seats to my sister so her in-laws could go to a game and we used the seats they gave us for winning the prize (which weren't much better).

So I'll tell you all about our night at the game. We were supposed to check in at the Will Call desk at 5:20 and get further instructions. When we got there, we had a few minutes to spare and went over to the Fanzz store they have there by Will Call. I got a Jazz jersey to wear at the game. After everyone who won eventually made it, they took us to a room down the hall from Will Call and we had a buffet dinner of Chicken Cordon Bleu, potatos, green beans, rolls, and salad. After we ate, they took us to the portal to show the actual winners where to meet for the half-time show then we went our separate ways. I got up to my seat with a few minutes to spare and Steve went to the Operations room to help operate the Superscreen. He got the choice to run the LED ring or the RePlay guy for the Superscreen. He chose to do the replays. They said he did a pretty good job! He had a lot of fun. He said it was really busy, you constantly had to be looking at the screens showing three different camera angles. He also had a headset on and could hear the camera guys talking. During halftime, they brought all the winners on the floor and announced their names and gave them a plaque. I let Steve take the camera with him for his "job" The pictures I have from my cell phone aren't the best. After halftime, he got to spend the rest of the game with me. It was a really fun night. Thanks to my cousin Stephanie for watching the boys. She's amazing.

I took my mom to tonights game. We had a blast. I was wondering what that was all about with bringing those people out and giving them those plaques. I could not totally understand what they were saying. That is cool. If I knew about it then I would have kept my eye for him. I hope Steve had a great day!
