Updates...

I know, I know, I know... It's been a long time since I've blogged. Not nearly as long as some people I know, but I won't mention any names (MOM!!! Just kidding). So, here's the goings on at the Bender house...

Jackson: Coos, giggles, screams, talks constantly. Loves to hear his own voice. Is now 4 months old and growing so fast I can't believe it! Sucks his thumb. The other day he was laying on my bed for a nap and kicked over to his side and his thumb went in his mouth. When I checked on him a little while later, I got the picture. Too cute! Not too interested in baby foods yet, still tries to push it out of his mouth with his tongue. We have his 4 month well check scheduled for the end of this month-his doctor does a lot of humanitarian work.

My little thumb sucker...

Lounging... and all smiles!

Brady: Loves to jump, sing (especially primary songs), play the piano at Grandma and Grandpa's, play with the Guitar Hero guitar, read stories, watch the Utah Jazz, and LOVES being Jackson's big brother. He is so loving! Always giving kisses and hugs. He's our little parrot. The other day, Steve said the word "actually" and now that's Brady's favorite word! This first picture is right after Brady's 2 year well check. He got one shot and didn't even cry!! He was so brave that we took him to the store to get a snack (the sucker in his mouth). The trick was to sing the Little Einstein's theme song... He loves that show. It probably seems like we watch a lot of TV and sometimes we do (that's the only way I can keep him out of my hair so I can get things done), but it's only the more educational stuff... He's a smarty!

Jazz Fan

Steve: Entered a contest online and won upper bowl tickets to a Jazz game. So in addition to the one we're going to next week for his birthday, we get to go to another one! We're excited. He's doing well in work and loves coming home at the end of the day to spend time with the family. He also texts during the games for their contests and just won the Superscreen Operator for a game! He's so lucky! I get to go too, of course!

Shannon: Is working on a quilt for my newest niece, Samantha. I've been working on it for weeks, it's taking me a while. I love spending time with the boys. I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with them. They are my little miracles! I'm also on a food storage kick. I have a plan to get a 3 month supply every time Steve gets a bonus (so every 3 months) and will have our year's supply of food storage in a year. I just need to figure out where I'm going to put it all. I know that more has been going on, I just can't remember everything. I have a new goal to update my blog once a week.

You are so good. I need to do the food storage thing and be more vigilant at it. There is so much to it though and I can't handle thinking about all that needs to be done at once. OVERLOAD!
