*Sorry, no pictures yet. I'll post the Halloween and Trick-or-Treating pictures of the boys tomorrow!*
That's right everyone! I turned 30 years old today! I would love to ask my parents more about the day I was born, but I don't want to call them at 10 PM... I would love to brag about what a great weekend and birthday I had though!
Friday at 3 PM, I took the boys to Steve's office for the annual trick-or-treating at the cubicles. Brady really cleaned up there, he got tons of candy... good stuff, too! I already called dibs on the Snickers! ;) We stayed for about an hour and then left to head downtown for dinner and the Jazz game. We parked at the Gateway and ate at Tucano's. It was pretty good food! I like the buffet style salad bar and having the meat brought out to our table. They even sang Happy Birthday to me in Portuguese (I think). After dinner, we went to Fanzz to get a new Jazz jersey for Brady. His was getting too small for him so we retired it to Jackson. The jerseys on both boys are a little big, but there's room to grow! We ran into one of my mom's friends/co-workers while we were at the Gateway, then we were off to the game. One word will describe it... AMAZING! It was such a great game. So fun and the boys did great while we were there. Always happy and smiling. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such awesome kids!
Today, I got to sleep in and Steve took care of the kids and made breakfast. When breakfast was ready, I came out to eat because I didn't want Brady to eat in bed with me. We lazed about for quite a while and then took Brady and Steve to get haircuts. We had lunch at Zupas (delicious Boston Crab Melt and Nuts About Berries salad) and then got my cake. Red velvet cake with cake batter ice cream and sprinkles mixed in from Cold Stone. YUMMY!! We headed to Wal Mart after that to get some numeral candles because the smallish cake wouldn't hold 30 individual candles without the whole house catching fire... Then we came home for dinner and trick-or-treating. It was so fun taking the boys out! We just went down our little "L" street and home, but Brady got more good stuff (but no Snickers, darn it).
Even though I got another year older, it was the best birthday ever! I look forward to many more birthdays and hope they keep getting better and better (although I don't know how this one could be topped)!
