Finally...
I can't believe it...
YES!
They changed my due date! I can now officially count the weeks I have left on one hand! My appointment went well yesterday. The office was running on time. I got checked in and was in a room within minutes. I don't know if it's ever been that fast before! The doctor came in and measured my belly, listened to her heartbeat and asked if I had any questions. I didn't, so he asked about induction. I said "YES PLEASE" and that was it. I spoke to the nurse on my way out and we got it set up for July 11. So, unless I go into labor earlier than that, Emma Jane will be here no later than then. It's so nice to have a date set, to know what will be going on so I can plan. I am definitely a planner.
Also, to those who didn't know, Steve was laid off last month. But, not to worry! He now has a job and will start on June 13. Insurance starts from day 1 so we won't have to worry about coverage for the rest of the pregnancy or delivery. And I get to deliver at American Fork Hospital! To those who did know about his layoff, a huge THANKS for all your prayers and support. We have definitely felt it. We always talk about what we'll do if something like this happens to us, so in a way (even though we were very scared), we were prepared. We had a tentative plan. Steve got a nice severance package and we had plans for starting unemployment and Medicaid. Luckily we didn't need it, but we knew what steps we needed to take. We are so grateful for those benefits that are available when people need them.
