Mom & the boys on the Tea Cups
We had a great time on our vacation! I can't remember everything we did, but I can try... We started our drive to California early in the morning. The boys did great and we made it to the hotel in great time. We got settled in and went down for a quick swim. Then we headed back up to our room and showered and went out to dinner. The next 3 days were spent at The Happiest Place on Earth. Brady had a fit (yes, I know... Hard to believe that my happy-go-lucky little guy would pitch a fit) on the first few rides we went on... or tried to go on but after Dumbo, he realized how fun it could be and he did great. Jackson was awesome the whole time. They loved the Tea Cups which was nice for a couple of reasons... 1) It was always a short line and 2) when Steve wanted to go on a "big kid ride" we would go on the Tea Cups repeatedly until he came for us. They LOVED the fireworks shows at night. My favorite was Fantasmic. They slept well at the hotel and ate pretty good while we were there. The last full day, we went to Huntington Beach. I must say, I was quite disappointed with the beach this time around. It wasn't as "family friendly" as I hoped it would be. The one place we HAD to eat at changed into a bar-like restaurant that we didn't feel comfortable taking the boys in to. So, we headed back to the hotel to swim and then went out to dinner. The next day, we took our time getting our stuff together, we had a great breakfast and were on the road home by 11:00 am. We made great time again and had originally planned to stay the night in St. George, but we were so looking forward to getting home, that we sucked it up and just drove the last few hours. It was a great trip, full of great memories. The boys had a great time! They keep asking when we can go back and they still talk about it. I mentioned in a previous post that we wanted to give them a good time so they could remember when I'm busy taking care of Baby Emma that mom is still a fun person... Mission accomplished!
