Brady and Mom before the parade

Waiting for the parade to start with Grandma and Grandpa Bender
After the parade, we went to the park where they had another carnival type area set up. Brady did the fish pond. At this carnival, they had horse back rides, face painting, and all kinds of food and craft booths. There was a demolition derby that night that we were going to go to, but it was a little more expensive than I was hoping so instead we just watched the fireworks from a nearby park. Brady loved all the lights and colors. He was fascinated and not scared at all! The next day was a relaxing day. Steve had his 10 year high school reunion so we met up with his former classmates and their spouses and kids at another park and had popscicles and drinks and got to know each other. It was really fun. He had a small graduating class, only about 200 people. It was really warm, so we didn't stay at the park for long. When we got back to Grandma & Grandpa's house, we took a nap and got our things packed. Steve and I had a dinner at his school for the reunion so we left Brady with the grandparents and had a little "date night". When it was over, we packed up the car and headed home. Overall, it was a great weekend and a fantastic 4th of July! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great visit!
