Mother's Day 2009

This Mother's Day was a great one! On Friday the 8th, Steve got home from work and handed me the mail. In the mail were 2 cards for me, one from the boys and the other from Steve. In Steve's card, there was a paper that had my gift on it. It's called a "Couples ring" but Steve modified it to have the boys' birthstones in it. Here's what it looks like but the stones will be Amethyst and Citrine and there will be no names engraved on it. It won't be here until early June though.

On Sunday, I was pampered. I got breakfast in bed and Steve got the boys ready for church. We decided to only go to Sacrament meeting and then go to Fairview where Steve's grandparents live. We had a great visit with them and also with his parents and brother and sister-in-law and their family. It was a great visit.

I also want to tell my mom Happy Mother's Day (belated!). She is the most amazing person! She's always been willing to help us out when we need it and I admire and love her so much. I'm most grateful that she drove down to our house the day Jackson was born to watch Brady for us on such short notice. She got here so quick and it was a good thing too because if we had waited any longer, Jack would have been born in the car! Love you Mom!

I love being a mother. There are days when I want to pull my hair out, but I love the experience of teaching my children and being home with them. I wouldn't trade it for anything. They're great kids and I love them so much! I know that this is my reason for being here.
