They grow up fast... Too fast!

Today Brady had his first dentist appointment. He did GREAT! I'm so proud of him and so impressed that he didn't fuss. When we got there, he went right for the toys. It didn't take long for them to call him back and when they did, he balked a little bit. He didn't want to go! I got him back there and the assistant told us they were going to try and get some xrays and try to clean his teeth. She had said that most 2 year olds won't let them do it. We got back there and Brady sat in the chair all by himself. They put the smiley face apron on him and he let them take the xrays! After that, we went back to the dental chair and she cleaned his teeth. Toy Story was playing on the TV in the ceiling, thank goodness for technology! When the dentist came in, Brady was all set. He let the dentist count his teeth and check for cavities. He even let him floss his teeth and do a little bit of scraping. All in all, I have to say it was a fantastic experience. I wasn't expecting much to happen and he did it all! YAY BRADY! I would definitely recommend this pediatric dental office. If you want his information, just let me know. And tell them I referred you!

"Wow, look at all these neat things Mom!"

"This is a cool computer. I wonder how they get this in my mouth. Hmmmmm"

Today was also Jackson's 6 month well child check. He's getting so big so fast and I can't believe that the first half of his first year is already over! He is now up to 16lbs and 24 1/2 inches. He got more vaccines today, but he gets a break from them at his next well visit. Dr. Wilcox said that he's growing great and doing well. He gave some advice about what to do with the rash under his little eyes so we can get that cleared up and he also checked on his tongue. I noticed some little purple-ish spots back there when I've been feeding him. Dr. Wilcox said it doesn't look like anything to be concerened about and if it doesn't bother him then he's fine, it might just be geographic tongue. We'll keep an eye on it though. He took his shots like a champ. He cried of course, but he was so brave! He's almost sitting on his own. He rolls around like crazy and he loves to babble and hear his own voice. He loves when Brady makes him laugh. They love each other so much!

Jackson the day he turned 6 months old

I love my little guys so much and can't believe how fast they've grown! I'm the luckiest Mommy in the world. I'm excited for each new milestone they hit and then wish that they would stop growing. Why can't we have it both ways??

Your boys are so cute!!! I can't believe how big and how long it has been. It seems like just yesterday you were training me so you could go on Maternity leave. We will for sure have to get together when we get down there.
