Another great visit with our Maternal and Fetal Medicine doctor. Everything looks great and it's looking more and more like a baby. We had another ultrasound done today and got more pictures. Brady and Steve came along again. Brady LOVED it! He was so well behaved! When the picture of the baby came on the screen, he said "Bab-b" which I think means "baby". He still points to my stomach if I ask him where the baby is. Hopefully he doesn't think I'm the baby! But he still looks at me when Steve asks him where Mom is. The heart rate is 174 beats per minute. The crown to rump length measures right on. I have a really strong feeling it's a girl. Maybe because I've heard the old wives' tale that if the heart rate is faster, it's a girl. Of course, as I've mentioned before, I would be extremely happy with another boy. The baby was moving around so much today! We had a hard time at first getting the heartbeat because it would move around and we'd have to "chase" it. This one likes to play! I also think it had the hiccups. It would just jump suddenly every few seconds. He/she was trying to kick the ultrasound tech away. It didn't want to be bothered. In this picture, that's what the baby is doing. Notice it's little leg raised up in the air in the above picture?? Stretching out!!
I asked the doctor about Disneyland. They said all should be well as long as I take it easy on the rides (no Space Mountain...dangit!), and keep hydrated. I guess I'll be the one to go on all the kiddie rides with Brady. Dumbo, here we come!! They want to see me back before we leave, so I have an appointment on May 5. I think they will continue to see me every 2 weeks until the "anatomy" ultrasound which will be 16 weeks. We should be able to find out the sex of the baby at that visit and I can quit referring to the baby as "it". Keep checking back, I may update before the next 2 week appointment if I have anymore crazy dreams!

I'm so excited for you and Steve! Congratulations! I hope everything continues to go well. I'm jealous you're going to Disneyland! I haven't been for like 8 years! Have tons of fun!

Hey, that little black and white picture is starting to look like a baby! I think you're having a girl - 174 is pretty high for a boy. At least that's what I'm told. My baby's heart beat was 155 yesterday, so I'm thinking probably another boy ... which is great cuz I've got lots of baby boy stuff.
I'm jealous you get to go to Disneyland. Sounds like tons of fun! Are just the three of you going?
