Brady took his first 5 steps the other day! We were pretty excited. In fact, I was so excited that I screamed, clapped my hands, and cried. He probably thought I was nuts and I think I made him think he had done something wrong but he kept going! We got some footage on video. Steve worries that he's falling behind other kids developmentally, I have to keep reminding him that all is well and not to compare him to other children. He will go at his own pace. My niece, Abbi, didn't walk until about 15 months-ish and then she just took off running! So, I'm happy that walking is taking a little bit more time, especially with Disneyland coming up. But we practice every day. He's also doing well with his words. He really tries to say things like...diaper, puppy, baby, mom, dada, Ta-Ta (our kitty), cracker, down stairs, night night, bye bye (he's started waving at himself the way babies do when they first learn that skill), and some animal sounds. He knows what to look for when you ask him where his blanket or milk is. So, all in all, I think he's doing GREAT! He will be able to teach his little brother or sister so many things!
